Novokulevo is a village with a rich history and significant administrative importance in the Nurimanovsky district of Bashkortostan. The village is located 15 km from the district center Krasnaya Gorka and 36 km from the nearest railway station Iglino. Novokulevo is the administrative center of the Novokulevo village council, which includes 6 settlements.

The history of Novokulevo village is closely tied to the history of the Bashkir people. The village emerged at the turn of the 18th-19th centuries, which explains its absence from the 1795 census. Interestingly, Novokulevo was the center of the Bulekey-Kudey volost, as well as the Kudey canton during certain periods of history.

In 1816, participants of the Patriotic War of 1812 lived in the village, including cavaliers Mendyakey Safarov and Biktash Bayazitov. By 1834, Novokulevo already had two mosques and a mill, and by the end of the 19th century, seven grocery stores appeared, indicating the development of trade and the village’s economy.

Novokulevo, like the entire Nurimanovsky district, has a forestry and agricultural-oriented economy. The village has developed dairy and meat cattle breeding, pig farming, grain cultivation, and potato growing. Beekeeping, traditional for this region of Bashkortostan, holds a special place.
